The Upper Deckers Creek Wildlife Management Area

The Upper Deckers Creek Wildlife Management Area (UDCWMA) is a fun recreational destination in our watershed. It is great for fishing, hiking, and observing nature.

YAB visited the UDCWMA on April 6, 2014. We sampled one of the ponds and found damselfly larvae, dragonfly larvae, water oarsmen, whirligig beetles and tadpoles. We tested the pH and it was 8.44. We saw cattails and lots of lily pad roots. There were signs of beaver, white-tailed deer and Canada geese. It is a beautiful place to visit, providing recreation, wetlands and a place for wildlife.
